PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate Dwarka Expressway today. Haryana Section of dwarka expressway is fully completed. A little work on Delhi section is left. Part of Delhi section which is completed might be opened as well.
Dwarka Expressway Project Overview
Dwarka Expressway is the India’s first Urban Expressway which is being constructed by National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) under Bharatmala Pariyojana. The project was undertaken to take the traffic load from existing Delhi Jaipur Highway within Gurgaon. With the completion of this expressway residents of Dwarka, New Gurgaon and Najafgarh will get traffic free and smooth connectivity from Airport and south Delhi.
Dwarka Expressway Route map, Length and Construction cost
Lenth of the Dwarka Expressway is around 30 Kilometres and the construction cost for the expressway is around 9500 crores. This will be first Urban Expressway of India which will have 3.6 KM long 8 lane shallow tunnel. Expressway will start at Shiv Murti on existing Delhi Gurgaon highway with multi level interchange facility. It will pass through Existing Urban Extension Road II (UERII) till Bharthal Chowk and will take left turn from there alongside IICC India, from here it will cross Delhi Haryana Border and will run through new Gurgaon area. Expressway will have its end point on Delhi Jaipur Highway near kherki Daula toll plaza

Dwarka Expressway Project Progress
Dwarka Expressway Package 1
This package starts near Shiv Murti on Delhi Gurgaon expressway near Indra Gandhi Airport. At Shiv Murti it will have multi level interchange facility for traffic. Traffic will move right for dwarka expressway from shiv murti from there 8 lane shallow tunnel will start. Tunnel will end near Bijwasan Underpass and package 1 will end here.

Dwarka Expressway Package 1 work completion status
Work on Shiv Murti interchange has started last month and the completion for interchange has been targeted under 90 days. 8 Lane shallow tunnel completed and work of concrete pavement is undergoing inside the tunnel.
Traffic will run above tunnel as well. There will be facility for traffic movement on old Delhi Gurgaon road.
Shiv Murti Interchange :
At Shiv Murti 8 Lanes will be there for the movement of Delhi Gurgaon Traffic.
A 2 Lane bridge will be constructed for traffic towards Dwarka Expressway, Urban Extension Road.

Dwarka Expressway Package 2
This package will start from Bijwasan Underpass to Delhi/Haryana Border. This package will have a interchange at Bharthal Chowk to facilitate the smooth traffic movement towards Dwarka sector 21, Urban Extension Road II (UERII), IICC centre and New Gurgaon.
A flyover has been specially constructed for the smooth traffic movement of the traffic towards exhibition centre.
This phase will have a 32 lane toll plazas just before the Border.
Dwarka Expressway Package 2 work completion status
Interchange At Bharthal Chowk is completed. Some work of blacktop is left. U turn for exhibition centre has been completed.
Work of toll plaza has not started till now.

Dwarka Expressway package 3
Package 3 of Dwarka Expressway will start from Delhi/Haryana Border. At this point elevated expressway of 8 lane will start and will end at Basai Rail over Bridge. Length of the package 3 will be of 10.2 Km in which 8.5 Km Elevated Flyover is constructed. Already constructed Basai flyover will be added with some new lanes to extend it.
In this package Service flyover and Underpass are constructed along Major interchanges.

Dwarka Expressway Package 3 Work Completion status
Elevated Road is constructed and Blacktop of the flyover is in progress.
Portion of flyover work is left over Bajghera road
Service Flyover and Underpass are completed and Electricity poles are installed.
Larson & Toubro(L&T) is constructing this package.
Dwarka Expressway Package 4
Package 4 of Dwarka Expressway starts near Basai Rail over Bridge and will end at kherki Daula on Delhi Jaipur Highway where it will merge with Southern Peripheral Road(SPR). Majority of the Portion of this package is elevated. A trumpet Interchange is constructed for the moment of traffic for IMT Manesar, sector 88, sector 84. At Trumpet Interchange it will connect with Central Periphery Road. Package will have Clover leaf interchange at National Highway 44.
Dwarka Expressway Package 4 work completion status
Majority of the portion of this package is complete. Underpass are completed.
Cloverleaf Interchange work is going near Kherki Daula where expressway will connect to Southern Peripheral Road.
From package 4 a new expressway for Delhi and Jaipur will be started which will be known as Delhi Jaipur Super Expressway.
