Shamli Ambala Expressway Project Details
Shamli Ambala expressway is a six lane access controlled expressway which is being constructed by National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) under bharatmala pariyojana.
Shamli Ambala Expressway will be 120KM in length. It will cross the several villages of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. It will have bridge at Yamuna river and railway lines. It will also be part of Ludhiana Gorakhpur economic corridor.

Shamli Ambala expressway will start near village Gogwan jalapur in Shamli district and will end at sadopur in Ambala. Project majorly will have Greenfield Alignment. Expressway will pass through Shamli and Saharanpur districts in Uttar Pradesh. In haryana it will pass through Karnal, Kurukshetra, Yamuna Nagar and Ambala Districts.
In village Gogwan Jalapur, the starting point of this Expressway it will have Interchange with Delhi Dehradun Expressway. In village Sadopur in Ambala it will end near ambala Ring road.
Shamli Ambala Expressway is divided into three Packages.
Shamli Ambala Expressway Progress
Construction work of the expressway has started recently. Work of cleaning and leveling of the entire stretch is in progress. Expressway is expected to be completed in 2025.
Shamli Ambala Expressway Alternate Route to Chandigarh from Delhi
Once operational Shamli Ambala Expressway will act as alternate route to Chandigarh for the people travelling from Delhi.
Delhi Dehradun Expressway is constructed which will have starting point near Akshardham in Delhi. Since Shamli Ambala Expressway has its starting point at Delhi Dehradun Expressway, so the people can easily travel from Delhi to Ambala/Chandigarh using these two expressway.
