Delhi Haridwar Expressway | Haridwar Spur Project Overview
Delhi Haridwar Expressway is the project designed to connect Delhi to Haridwar. It will be six lane acces controlled expressway. Distance between Delhi to Haridwar by this Expressway will be reduced to 190 Km.
Delhi Dehradun Expressway also known as Delhi Saharanpur Dehradun economic corridor was designed by the National Highways Authority of India under Bharatmala Pariyojana to connect national capital Delhi with Uttarakhand capital Dehradun.
Since this route was already planned so NHAI decided to connect a Spur to Haridwar from this Expressway so that Delhi Haridwar also get Expressway connectivity.
Delhi Haridwar Expressway Route Map
Delhi Haridwar Expressway is designed by making a Spur from Delhi Dehradun Expressway to Haridwar Bypass.
In Delhi Dehradun Expressway’s Phase 2 at KM 108 an interchange will be provided for haridwar connectivity. The interchange will be made near village halgoya in Saharanpur district. From this point a new access controlled 6 lane expressway is designed that will connect to Haridwar Bypass near bahadrabad on National Highway 334.

Delhi Haridwar Expressway | Haridwar Spur Length
The 6 Lane access controlled expressway will be 50 Kms in length. The project cost is 2095 crore rupees. Total length of the Delhi Haridwar Expressway will be around 190KM which will be easily covered under 2 hrs by car. The majority of Route will be Greenfield and Right of Way (ROW) will be 60 Metres.
Concrete walls be provided at both ends of expressway so that stray animals can’t acess the designed road.
Delhi Haridwar Expressway | Haridwar Spur Project details
The Haridwar Spur will start at chainage 108 on Phase 2 of Delhi Dehradun Expressway Greenfield Alignment. From the starting point expressway will take right turn and will cross Muzzafarnagar Saharanpur Indian Railways line.
Soon after crossing the railway line the expressway will have the interchange on Muzzafarnagar Saharanpur State Highway SH 59.
Spur will soon cross Roorkee Saharanpur Railway line. Haridwar Spur will then connect to newly built Roorkee Bypass on NH344 Ambala Haridwar National Highway.
Haridwar Spur will connect at the starting point of roorkee bypass from the Saharanpur side. Newly built Spur expressway will cross Roorkee from the Northern Side thus completing the Roorkee ring road project.
Haridwar Spur will end at Bahadrabad and will merge at National Highway NH344.

Earthwork completion is at full pace. Major and Minor bridges are designed and some of them are completed. Rail over bridge worlk has been started.
